Food Glorious Food.......
The old adage too many cooks spoil the broth seems outdated in todays climate where recruiting for kitchen & waiting on staff is like seeking a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
We are right in the middle of our peak season now and despite our best efforts advertising locally, nationally and internationationally we are desperatly short staffed. Our brilliant but very small kitchen team serve good quality locally sourced foods and cook nearly everything from scratch ( we dont serve fast food we serve good food) however this is very labour intesive. We are a very popular place to eat both with hotel guests, locals and visitors and so regularly serve over 150 meals a day as well as catering for funtions such as weddings and parties.
For the last six months we have been trying to recruit additional chef's and waiting on staff we have tried the local newspapers, the Job Center plus, Gumtree, Indeed, recruitment agencies and The caterer all to no avail.
We will be the first to admit the work is hard and hours antisocial but in an ecconomy where jobs are scares and we can offer all year round permenant full or part time positions with live in accomodation if needed where are the applicantd?!
If you or anybody you know is interested in applying please forward your CV & a covering letter to info@minymor.com.
